What is it?
Proofreading is a final check of spelling, grammar, and punctuation before publication.
Documents to be proofread should have already been edited and are otherwise ready to be published.
If you want a document proofread, I’ll need to know the length (number of words) and style of the document. For long documents (over 5000 words), I’ll ask to see a short sample so that I can gauge how long it will take.
If you’ve run it through an automatic spelling and grammar check before you send it, it takes less time to proofread.
