Stories
Everyone likes a good story, and we all have a story to tell. I have experience writing fantasy, young adult fiction, and personal histories.
Articles
Stories don’t have to be just for fun: they draw attention to wider social issues, make the subject real for your audience. Statistics drive people away: stories draw people in.
Give me a topic, and I’ll research it (or use information you provide) and write an article to interest people and draw them in.
User Manuals and Procedures
We’ve all experienced the sinking feeling of reading the instructions for something and realising they’re completely incomprehensible.
I’ve spent twenty-five years rewriting manuals on cargo ships to ensure that everyone who can read can understand the instructions.
If your staff complain that the instructions make no sense, I’ll rewrite it so it’s actually useful.
